          People often ask us what it's really like to run a cleaning business. Is it just mopping floors and wiping counters? Not even close. Let us take you through a typical day at MMKAY Cleaning Services — from the early morning prep to the final walkthrough.

6:30 AM — The Day Begins

   Before the sun is fully up, we're already moving. The day starts with checking the schedule, reviewing client notes, and making sure we know exactly what each home needs. Some clients want extra attention on bathrooms. Others have pets we need to work around. Every detail matters.

   We load up the vehicles with fresh supplies — microfiber cloths, eco-friendly cleaners, vacuum attachments, and all the specialty tools we might need. Running out of supplies mid-job isn't an option, so we double-check everything.

7:30 AM — On the Road

   Great Falls isn't huge, but we cover a lot of ground. Some days we're cleaning homes in town; other days we're heading out to properties in the surrounding areas. The drive time is when we mentally prepare — reviewing the client's preferences and planning our approach.

   We always aim to arrive a few minutes early. Punctuality matters to us because we know it matters to you.

8:00 AM — First Home of the Day

   We knock, introduce ourselves (if it's a new client), and do a quick walkthrough. This is where we note any special concerns — a stain that needs attention, an area the client mentioned, or anything that looks different from last time.

   Then we get to work. Our process is systematic:

  • Top to bottom — We start high (ceiling fans, light fixtures) and work down so dust falls onto surfaces we haven't cleaned yet
  • Room by room — We complete each space fully before moving on
  • Detail-focused — Baseboards, door handles, light switches — the things people forget but definitely notice

10:30 AM — The Transformation

   This is the part we love most. Walking through a home after we've finished and seeing the transformation never gets old. Floors gleaming, counters spotless, bathrooms sparkling — it's incredibly satisfying.

   Before we leave, we do a final walkthrough. We check every room, make sure nothing was missed, and leave the home exactly how we'd want our own homes to look.

12:00 PM — Quick Break

   Cleaning is physical work, and we take care of our team. A quick lunch break to refuel, restock supplies if needed, and prepare for the afternoon appointments. We also use this time to check in with the office, respond to any client messages, and adjust the schedule if needed.

1:00 PM — Afternoon Appointments

   The afternoon might bring a different type of job — maybe a move-out clean, a deep clean for a client preparing for guests, or a commercial space that needs attention after hours. Each job is different, and that variety keeps things interesting.

   We approach every space with the same level of care, whether it's a cozy apartment or a large office building.

5:00 PM — Wrapping Up

   As the day winds down, we head back to base. Equipment gets cleaned and sanitized — we never use dirty tools in a client's home. Supplies get inventoried and restocked. Notes get updated for tomorrow's jobs.

   We also take time to review any feedback from the day. Did a client mention something they loved? Something they'd like done differently? We track it all so we can keep improving.
